Endangered Wildlife Tour
Things to do in the Lowveld extend to activities in Hoedspruit. This full day guided tour will collect guests from Tanamera and take a journey by road toward Hoedspruit, (approx. 1 hour 15 minutes), passing Bushbuckridge – a vast landscape of local townships. Hoedspruit town is situated at the foot of the Klein Drakensberg (Afrikaans for “Small Dragon Mountains” range), in the Limpopo province and the area is well-known as a centre for conservation and animal rehabilitation. A little out of town, you will visit Moholoholo to view (and learn more about) hyaena, cheetah, wild dog, honey badger, serval, ground hornbill, vultures and other species. At Moholoholo, opportunities arise for photographs and an interactive experience with these animals. From Moholoholo the tour moves onto the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre (HESC) which focuses on cheetah at Kapama Game Reserve
Guided Kruger Park Drives
Experience a safari in the Kruger National Park, South Africa’s largest and most famous game reserve, from an open, canopied safari vehicle. Book a private tour or expect to a game drive with up to 10 guests. An experienced guide will share his/her knowledge of the bush with you while in radio contact with other game viewing vehicles to maximize viewing opportunities. Your guide has intimate knowledge of the Kruger Park wildlife, fauna and flora, for you to make the most of your safari. You will see areas in the Southern part of the park and most likely stop at Skukuza rest camp. Excursions offered include: Morning drives, Full day drives and Afternoon drives. Collection times will depend on the tour booked, i.e. for a Morning drive, collection from Tanamera will be between 5am – 6am!
Full Day Lowveld Panorama Tour
Spend a full day exploring the Transvaal Drakensberg escarpment for the most spectacular scenery in Mpumalanga. Drive through the long and winding roads of the Panorama Route and stop at view points such as Gods Window, Bourkes Luck Potholes and The Three Rondawels. Expect to view 2-3 of the many waterfalls in Sabie and the surrounding area, such as the Lisbon Falls, The Mac Mac Falls or the Berlin Falls, during your day. There will be time for lunch in a local town – with restaurants in Graskop or Sabie – and opportunity for souvenir shopping as well. Tours are taken with an experienced private guide in an air-conditioned SUV, or in a minivan if there are up to 10 guests. Expect collection times from Tanamera between 8am and 9am and to return to Tanamera between 3pm and 4pm when booking this tour.
